Martial Arts Seminars - June 27, 2008

As you know, we the students of Don Bohan are hosting a charity memorial martial arts tournament on June 27 and 28, 2008, to honor our two most respected and honored leaders, Master Don Bohan and Master Rick Niemira.  We lost Master Niemira in 1988 and lost Master Bohan in 1998.  This tournament will coincide with the anniversaries of their deaths of 20 years ago and 10 years ago respectively.  To make this already special event a little more special, we have decided to include seminars taught by some of the most highly respected, actively teaching masters in martial arts today.  These teaching masters will consist of our mentors, dojomates, training partners, and closest friends.

The seminar schedules are set.  As the event nears the seminar instructors will be updating this page with complete details of their training seminar. 

12:00 - 12:50 pm - Master Diane Ortenzio-Cooling and Master Brian West - Tournament Kumite

1:00 - 1:50 pm - Master Javier Martinez  - Tuite

200 -2:50 pm - Master Denny Shaffer and Master Clyde Stanley  - Street Self-Defense

3:00 - 4:30 pm - Tokumura Kensho - Kobudo (Weapons)

4:45 - 5:45 pm - Grand Master Dr. Maung Gyi - MIN ZIN Seminar (generating, storing and transmitting internal energy)

NOTE *** There is a $25.00 fee that gets you into ALL seminars.

We wish to extend an invitation for all seminar attendees.   If you attended the Friday tournament seminars you are invited to join registered participants and judges for  The Don Bohan / Rick Niemira Memorial Martial Arts Championships Summit as our guest.  This is our way of giving something back to you for your support in making this tournament special.  Please go to the Summit page for more information.
