Biography of Master Albert C. Mady
Master Albert Mady has been involved heavily in the martial arts for thirty five years, and is the first person to achieve an 8th degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate, in Canada. He has taught in the secondary school system, physical education department, for 14 years, teaching high school students how to defend themselves in an appropriate and effect manner. Over the years he has taught for such groups as the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Windsor and Essex County, Dental assistants of Windsor and Essex County just to name a few. He also has taught many law enforcement individuals and security groups such as: Essex Security, Windsor Police Tactical Unit, Ontario Provincial Police Essex detachment response unit, including many individual officers from the Windsor Police, Essex Police, Amherstburg Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian Customs, Canadian Immigration Intelligence, Canadian Central Intelligence Service, Ontario corrections officers, Windsor Crown Attorney's Office and a United States ATF officer {alcohol tobacco and firearms}.
Personal Awards: International Isshinryu Karate Association Championships, kata, kumite and weapons champion through out the 1980's to 1990. International Kata and breaking champion through out the 1990's. 1986 International Isshinryu Karate Association, Practitioner of the year 1990 Isshinryu hall of fame, Instructor of the year 1993 Isshinryu hall of fame, School of the year 1990, 1991,1992, 1993 and 1994, North American Karate Championships, Breaking Champion {ISKA, International Sport Karate Association, "best breaker pound for pound in the world"} The breaking was featured on ESPN and TSN, along with other sports net- works, a video clip appears on my web page, www.madyskarate.com 2000 Grand Master Don Nagle's Memorial Awards, Master Instructor of the Year 1997 and 2001 American Okinawan Karate Association, Spirit of Isshinryu Award 2002 American International full contact karate championship, Light-heavy weight Knock-down Champion 2003 AOKA, American Okinawan Karate Association, Karate School of the year.
